I have been using stone as a motif in my paintings for six years now. Under the influence of wind and water, stones are crushed into sand, which is then pressurized to form bedrock again. I have been conscious of the problem of how to incorporate the transition of “form” into the dimension of painting, and have developed into monotype works through oil paintings that focus on capturing the lines that trace the shape of the stone.
